About the role As the Senior ARC Secretariat and Reporting Officer, you’ll lead the delivery of high-quality secretariat and reporting functions that keep the internal audit function and Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) operating effectively. In this role you will: Lead the coordination and delivery of end-to-end ARC secretariat services, ensuring strong governance and smooth committee operations Build and maintain effective relationships with ARC members, senior executives and audit teams to keep priorities aligned and communication flowing Prepare high-quality reports, briefs and correspondence for the Secretary, senior executives, relevant committees and the ARC Take a proactive approach to project managing the internal audit program, assist with developing the Internal Audit plan, monitoring progress, tracking key milestones Support audit operation activities, including stakeholder management and procurement activities For further information, please click here to view the role description. About you Demonstrated experience in leading committee management/secretariat functions Strong background in audit, risk or governance, with deep understanding of the end-to-end audit lifecycle, and application of relevant sector-wide policies inlcuding TPP 20-08 Internal Audit and Risk Management Policy for the General Government Sector Skilled at influencing and supporting senior stakeholders Proven ability to lead and prioritise in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality, time critical tasks Strong analytical and systems capability, including Excel and audit and risk software, with the ability to synthesise data into strategic insights and executive-level reporting. Experience with Power BI would be highly regarded. Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Essential requirements of the role Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience in Committee management and governance in a large complex organisation. Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment or are willing to obtain one.
