Our Townsville branch is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Parts Interpreter with purchasing and stores responsibilities, supporting the workshop by accurately identifying, sourcing and receipting truck parts and consumables, maintaining stock levels, and working closely with the Branch Manager, suppliers and the wider team to keep repairs moving safely and efficiently. What we are looking for Parts interpreting experience, ideally with strong knowledge of heavy vehicle truck parts, accessories and brands. Knowledge of purchasing and stores procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude. The ability to work effectively under pressure with a positive outlook in a team environment. High attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work. Familiarity and proven use of parts inventory systems (iBody preferred). Current driver’s licence. Forklift licence (desirable). Key duties and responsibilities Interpret parts requirements for repairs and maintenance. Source, purchase and receipt parts from OEM manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers. Assist with all areas of the parts department, including stock control procedures. Ensure stock levels of workshop consumables are maintained. Participate in stocktakes. Maintain strong supplier relationships and follow up on all credit returns. Ensure all internal procedures are followed and completed correctly. Co‑ordinate and liaise with management on the repair or replacement of parts, order progress, and any issues with accessing or delivering parts. Demonstrate a “Safety First” mindset in all tasks.
