Our client, Flexihire, is currently seeking skilled Diesel Motor Mechanics to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling a wide range of diesel-powered equipment in the hire fleet, including excavators, generators, trailers, and other mobile plant machinery. The role also includes diagnostics, field service, and supporting workshop operations. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on hire equipment Perform field breakdown repairs and after-hours service when required Prepare machinery for hire, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met Rebuild or replace engine components and troubleshoot transmission and electrical faults Maintain service records and ensure a safe, clean workshop environment Support apprentices and work collaboratively with the team Skills and Experience: Trade qualification in diesel mechanics or a related field Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems Ability to work independently and within a team Good communication and customer service skills Current driver’s licence (HR preferred) To Apply: If you’re a motivated Diesel Mechanic looking to join a supportive and dynamic team, please submit your resume and cover letter
