Mechanical Fitter / Service Technician – Permanent Opportunity Archerfield | 5 Weeks Annual Leave | Double Time Overtime Talent Focus is partnering with an industry-leading company based in Archerfield that specialises in the repair, overhaul and manufacture of gearboxes for everything from heavy vehicles and trucks through to mining equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters / Service Technicians to join their permanent team. This is a varied role combining workshop-based repairs with possible on-site service work, offering excellent training and long-term career development. Key Responsibilities Disassemble gearboxes and mechanical components for repair and servicing. Inspect components and prepare detailed reports outlining repairs required, replacement parts and any issues identified. Reassemble equipment in accordance with technical manuals and manufacturer specifications. Test repaired equipment and complete quality documentation. Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on-site, providing recommendations for repairs. Use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble and fit mechanical components. Liaise with customers regarding repair and service requirements while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Work safely and effectively within both workshop and site environments. About You To be successful, you will have: Trade qualification – Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Fitting) or equivalent. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing or maintaining industrial, mining or heavy vehicle equipment. Ability to read technical manuals and apply sound mechanical principles. Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Forklift Licence (desirable). Overhead Crane experience (desirable). What’s on Offer? Permanent full-time position with an industry leader.
