YLZ Truck Bodies builds custom truck trays and plant trailers from the ground up. We're a hands-on workshop after an experienced fabricator who takes pride in their work and wants to see a job through from raw steel to finished build. The role You'll be fabricating and assembling custom truck trays and plant trailers — reading off drawings, cutting and prepping, MIG welding, and putting together quality finished products. No two builds are the same, so you'll get variety and ownership over your work. What you'll be doing Fabricating and assembling truck trays and plant trailers to spec MIG welding steel and aluminium to a high standard Reading and working from engineering drawings Measuring, cutting, drilling and prepping components Final fit-out and quality checks before delivery What you'll need Proven experience as a fabricator / body builder (truck bodies, trailers or similar) Strong MIG welding skills Confident reading workshop drawings and working to measurements Ability to work unsupervised and manage your own build Reliable, safety-focused and takes pride in quality work Nice to have Trade qualification (Engineering Fabrication / Boilermaking) Forklift and/or crane (HR/EWP) tickets Experience with trays What's on offer Full-time, secure role with steady work Well-equipped New workshop
