About this role Take ownership of a critical national function and drive cost and performance across a National Network. We're looking for a National Pallet Manager to take full ownership of pallet performance across our supply chain. This role is accountable for driving outcomes — mitigating pallet loss, improving reconciliation accuracy, & delivering on cost-centric KPIs across multiple sites, 3PL partners, transport providers, and customers. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager – Logistics , you'll operate as the national lead for pallet performance—working closely with site leaders and logistics teams to bring structure, visibility, and accountability across the network. What you'll be doing This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll own both the detail and the bigger picture. Own and manage CHEP and/or Loscam pallet accounts end-to-end Lead daily, weekly, and month-end reconciliation across all sites Monitor pallet flows across warehouses, 3PLs, carriers, and customers Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement fixes that prevent repeat issues Drive initiatives to reduce pallet loss, aged balances, and hire costs Deliver clear, accurate reporting on performance, cost, and risk Ensure pallet availability supports production, inventory, and delivery demand Partner with operations/warehouse/commercial teams to improve pallet handling process, standards and compliance Train and support site teams to lift capability and consistency in pallet management Leadership & influence Lead and develop our growing support team Set clear expectations for pallet control and accountability across all sites Influence internal and external stakeholders to improve outcomes and drive performance Build a culture of ownership, accuracy, and accountability What success looks like Reduced pallet hire costs and losses Improved reconciliation accuracy and timeliness across all sites Strong recovery rates from 3PLs, carriers, and customers Reduced aged balances and unresolved discrepancies Accurate, timely reporting that supports control and decision-making Delivered initiatives that drive measurable cost and process improvements What you'll bring Proven experience in pallet control, logistics, or supply chain operations Strong working knowledge of CHEP and Loscam systems (non-negotiable for success in the role) Experience in FMCG or high-volume distribution environments Exposure to 3PL operations, transport providers, and national supply chain networks Strong numerical accuracy with advanced reconciliation capability Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities Confident stakeholder management — able to hold others accountable and drive outcomes Experience using ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, RIC or similar) Desirable: Experience managing pallet flows across major retail networks (Woolworths, Coles, Metcash) Additional information Travel may be required across our national sites Why this role National scope with direct impact on cost and operational performance Clear ownership — this is a role where you can see the results of what you deliver Opportunity to bring structure, accountability, and improvement to a critical function Work closely with operations leaders across multiple sites Ready to take ownership?
