Management Roles: Southern Cross Motel Group are actively seeking experienced professional Assistant Management Person with a strong Front Office; Buddy Boy Kitchen & Conferencing focus for their expanding portfolio in Mackay. The Role: Assist in the overall management responsibility of this busy corporate motel. Provide exceptional service ,with both Front Office and Food and Beverage Operations. We pride ourselves on quality accommodations and food and beverage services that we offer, the assistant managers role is to ensure we build a strong and effective team/culture whilst maximising profitability as well as delivering a enhanced guest experience and superior customer service. Tasks & Responsibilities Manage the daily operations within each department of the motel, including Front Office and Reception, Dinner and Breakfast Service, Housekeeping, Grounds and Maintenance. Be hands on and lead by example. Provide effective leadership, guidance, and communication. Provide support and training on the motels standards, policies and procedures, operational requirements, and business objectives. Manage the operational performance of the motel through meeting and exceeding set budgetary requirements. Proactively seek sales and marketing opportunities, Ensue a focus on continuous business development in Food and Beverage through proactive selling and online social media application. Manage performance of employees, coordinate recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff. Manage and resolve guest services in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction. Monitor and report weekly and monthly upon the motel’s financial performance against the operational budgets. Ensure motel is compliant and operating within all company guidelines, as well as compliant to all legal requirements including WH&S, liquor and food licensing, fire safety. Qualifications & Requirements Approved Manager of a Licensed Venue Room Sales and Online Channel Booking Management. (Guestpoint & Siteminder) Experience with Opentable/Kounta and TANDA Good understanding of Housekeeping operations.
