We are a medium sized free-range egg farm seeking a reliable and hardworking Egg Packer & Farm Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role involves packing and sorting eggs, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of packing, feeding and other farm machinery and equipment. A genuine appreciation for chickens is helpful : ) The Job: Operate egg packing equipment (training provided) Maintain a clean and hygienic packing area Proactively keep all areas tidy and clean Assist with routine servicing and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment. Identify and report mechanical issues. Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in good working order. Hours are at least 7:30 until 12 noon and may differ depending on flock requirements, such as hot days. Above award pay rates after qualifying period . The farm works 7 days a week so some weekend rostered work will be required (penalty rates paid on weekends). About You Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Mechanically minded with practical maintenance skills. Physically fit and comfortable with manual work. Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions. Genuine care for animal welfare and health Previous farm, machinery, maintenance experience is an advantage but not essential. Must hold a current car driver's licence.
