Primary objective This position provides ICT, eLearning and multimedia support to ensure the effective delivery of digital learning and business operations across the school. The role works collaboratively with staff and students to provide technical assistance, support learning technologies and multimedia initiatives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, services and digital learning experiences. Context statement The Northern Territory School of Distance Education (NTSDE) supports and delivers a range of educational services to students, resident in the Northern Territory or temporarily living interstate or overseas. NTSDE collaborates with home schools, supporting educators to deliver high quality, innovative and flexible senior secondary online programs. School staff must be prepared to travel, use advanced online technologies, and work in both online and face-to-face modes. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Provide first-level support for ICT, eLearning, and multimedia issues, ensuring prompt assistance to staff and students. 2. Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of devices, software applications, and basic audio-visual equipment throughout the school. 3. Support the operation and maintenance of eLearning platforms, including helping staff with basic content and system-related tasks. Contribute innovative ideas to enhance systems, workflows, and digital learning experiences. 4. Participate in multimedia activities, including basic video recording, editing, formatting, and preparing digital learning materials. 5. Perform additional tasks within the work unit as requested by line manager. Selection criteria Essential 1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting ICT systems, end-user devices and contemporary software applications. 2. Experience using and supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online learning technologies, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and emerging technologies. 3. Experience using multimedia and digital content creation tools, including video production, graphic design, photography, audio- visual technologies or related creative platforms. 4. Demonstrated ability to provide professional, responsive and customer-focused support, with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines. Desirable 1. Certificate II/III in Information Technology, Multimedia, or a related discipline. 2. Willingness and ability to travel to remote and regional locations, including travel by light aircraft, to support schools, students and staff.
