Primary objective Provide quality administration and logistical support to BreastScreenNT including working remotely on “Millie” the mobile breast screening unit. Context statement 1. Provide administrative support for the BreastScreenNT mobile screening service in regional and remote areas. 2. Provide efficient first point reception duties and a high level of administrative support including processing client consents data entry, creating and managing client files, general inquiries and taking phone and in person appointments. 3. Be responsible for all logistical arrangements related to the mobile screening service in both regional and remote locations across the Northern Territory. 4. Actively participate as a member of the Cancer Screening Services team, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to all aspects of Branch issues. 5. Drive the visiting BreastScreenNT vehicle to remote and regional communities as required. 6. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Selection criteria Essential 1. Proven abilities in office administration and records management systems, practices and software relevant to the health care environment. 2. Proven ability in effective logistics and time management together with a high level of flexibility. 3. Sound communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures. 4. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, accept responsibility, contribute to ongoing quality assurance program development and the professional development and learning needs of colleagues. 5. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. 6. Current Northern Territory heavy or medium rigid (HR/MR) drivers’ licence or ability to obtain before commencement. Desirable 1. Certificate III in Business (Office Skills) or equivalent. 2. Certificate in Health Promotion.
