Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role The Role The Travel Specialist manages the full lifecycle of tailored travel programs. You will design, price and present customised itineraries and, once confirmed, oversee their delivery through to completion. This role suits someone who is deeply focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience at every stage, and who enjoys both building compelling travel programs and ensuring every detail is executed accurately. You will work directly with international travel advisors, Australian suppliers and internal systems to deliver a consistently high standard of service and commercial performance. Given the nature of travel, the role requires flexibility. At times you may need to respond to urgent matters outside standard business hours, including evenings or weekends, particularly when clients are travelling. A sense of responsibility and responsiveness is essential. Key Responsibilities Sales & Itinerary Design Manage new and repeat enquiries from international travel advisors. Design customised itineraries aligned with client brief, budget and travel style. Structure routing that is logical, well paced and operationally realistic. Source appropriate accommodation, touring and transport options. Prepare detailed proposals and pricing within agreed timeframes. Maintain margin targets and ensure commercial viability. Refine proposals based on feedback and secure confirmations. Operations & Delivery Confirm all components including accommodation, experiences, transfers and flights. Reconcile supplier rates and inclusions against approved costings. Maintain accurate records within CRM and internal systems. Manage amendments, schedule changes and client updates. Monitor upcoming departures and proactively identify potential issues. Provide support for clients in travel, including handling urgent matters when required. Prepare final documentation and travel packs. Collaboration & Performance Communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and partners. Contribute to improving internal workflows and operational systems. Support a team culture built on accountability, precision and results. About You Experience in luxury travel, DMC, tour operator or complex FIT environments. Strong knowledge of Australian geography, routing and seasonality, with sound destination product knowledge of Australia’s accommodation and tourism experiences. Commercially aware with confidence in pricing and margin management. Proven sales capability with a proactive approach to converting enquiries and working towards targets. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Driven and motivated to achieve results, with a proactive and solution focused mindset. A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and professionally. Comfortable balancing both sales and operational responsibilities. Flexible and responsive, with the willingness to support clients outside standard business hours when required. Proficiency with CRM systems is an advantage.
