WHAT YOU WILL DO · Provide contemporary and culturally appropriate physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment, planning, and evaluation. · Maintain quality client medical records. · Work collaboratively with the Allied Health team to provide holistic allied health services that meet the needs of DDHS clients. · Contribute to physiotherapy group programs. · Supervise Indigenous Allied Health Assistants and support skill development. · Manage caseload and client bookings to ensure timely, coordinated service delivery. · Contribute to reporting for DDHS and funding bodies, taking responsibility for accurate content and reporting deadlines. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal community control and self-determination. Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration. Demonstrated knowledge and experience providing high quality Physiotherapy services to older clients in a community setting. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated understanding of the primary health care context, principles of chronic disease prevention and management and goal-directed care planning. Understanding of the issues and barriers that affect the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Well-developed interpersonal skills with a strong client focus and the ability to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with other health professionals and agencies. Demonstrated competence in e-health record systems and office software applications. High level written and oral communication skills. Desirable Experience working in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health sector. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
