About the Scholarship Our fully funded scholarship is designed to remove the financial barriers that can make it difficult to enter the security industry. Successful applicants will receive: A fully funded Certificate II in Security Operations A fully funded 12-month Security Licence A fully funded First Aid Certificate Support to complete licensing and employment paperwork Site-specific clearances and qualifications, where required Ongoing support as you transition into employment with MSS Security Additional mentoring support may be available for eligible participants in the ACT. In return, scholarship recipients commit to a 12-month return of service with MSS Security, giving you the opportunity to build experience, develop your skills and establish a long-term career. What happens after the scholarship? The scholarship program takes approximately two weeks to complete, followed by the processing of your qualification and Security Licence. Once you are qualified and licensed, you'll join the MSS Security team and be paid in accordance with the applicable Security Award for the shifts you work. From there, your career can take many paths across our diverse customer sites and industries. What you'll be doing Every day is different, but your role may include: Helping keep people, workplaces and communities safe Welcoming visitors and managing access to sites Conducting patrols and maintaining a visible security presence Responding to incidents and supporting emergency situations Building positive relationships with clients, visitors and colleagues Completing reports and following security procedures No previous security experience is required, we'll provide the training you need to get started.
