Backed by a multi-year contract, the site provides a high-quality FIFO experience. Site features include: Modern, well-appointed camp facilities including gym and wet mess Camp located close to the mine to minimise daily travel High-quality catering and food standards 2:2 roster - days, then nights, followed by 14 days off Interstate flights provided from major capital cities Roster & Hours 2:2 roster consisting of 7 days, 7 nights, followed by 14 days off 12-hour shifts on a Wednesday-to-Wednesday swing Fly to site on Day -1 (Tuesday) and stay in camp prior to commencing day shift at 6:00am Fly home Wednesday morning at approximately 8:00am, with interstate connections arranged where required The Role and Duties As Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter, you'll work across workshops, underground service bays, and in the field, leading a team while staying hands-on with a modern fleet. Your responsibilities will include: Scheduled and preventative maintenance Repairs and fitting parts Attending breakdowns and fault diagnostics Providing technical support Ensuring safety compliance across all tasks Your Value You will hold a heavy vehicle/diesel fitting trade qualification, a valid Australian driver's licence, and bring current or recent experience in underground hard rock mining. You will also bring: Experience in a leading hand / leadership experience in a mining capacity Exposure to drills, boggers, trucks and/or ground support equipment Ability to work effectively in both workshop and field environments Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work well with and lead others Capability across mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical fault finding A strong safety-first mindset and commitment to site protocols The Opportunity This is a full-time, long-term role with excellent job security and a genuine career pathway with a well-established global contractor.
