Position Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to support our engineering team in the development of mechanical systems and components. This role involves preparing precise technical drawings and providing hands-on assistance during the design, installation, and testing phases of mechanical projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed mechanical engineering drawings, plans, and designs under the supervision of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists. Assist in the conceptual and technical design of mechanical equipment and agricultural plant systems. Support the selection and specification of appropriate tools, components, and machinery. Participate in the assembly and installation of mechanical systems including machine tools, hydraulic and pneumatic components. Estimate quantities, materials, and equipment requirements for project execution. Conduct and oversee field and laboratory testing to verify system performance. Collect and analyse engineering data; perform advanced calculations and generate diagrams and technical reports. Assist with scheduling and supervision of machinery and plant inspection and maintenance activities. Ensure all drafted designs and implemented works comply with regulatory standards, project specifications, and safety requirements. Qualifications & Skill AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or At least three years of relevant experience Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor). Understanding of mechanical components, systems, and drafting techniques. Ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings and technical documents. Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. Previous experience in the agricultural or industrial sector is highly desirable. SALARY: $80K - $90K p.a
