2025-09-11 to 2025-10-13 NOGOA ELECTRICAL EMERALD QLD 472O ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN SALARY: $80K - $95K PER ANNUM PERMANENT FULL-TIME We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team and work closely with the Director in managing a range of commercial electrical projects across construction and maintenance sectors. This is a hands-on technical and coordination role involving everything from project planning and execution to PLC design and commissioning ideal for someone who thrives in both fieldwork and project oversight. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Director with project management of electrical services, including tracking leads and managing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial electrical projects. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards. Coordinate and supervise staff, oversee resource allocation, and manage subcontractors and trades as required. Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers, and team members to maintain clear and effective communication throughout project lifecycles. Oversee compliance with Australian electrical standards, building codes, and safety regulations (WHS). Conduct PLC design, installation, procurement, programming, commissioning, and maintenance. Prepare technical documentation including reports, manuals, and schematics. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. Required Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (AQF Level 6 or overseas equivalent) or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years' experience in an electrical technician role, preferably with exposure to project management or site supervision. Solid experience in PLC systems (design, installation, programming, and commissioning). Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchboards, and automation technologies. Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Understanding of budget control and resource planning in a project setting. Valid drivers licence: White Card preferred. Ability to work independently and under the supervision of a senior engineer or director. Salary: $80K - $95K PER ANNUM
