The Prosthesis Coordinator is a key administrative role within the new St John of God Midland Private Hospital, opening August 2026. Focused on coordination, data integrity and system management, you will oversee end-to-end prosthesis processes including inventory, reporting and compliance through TechOne, ensuring accuracy, cost-effectiveness and strong governance. Working closely with Theatre and supply teams, you will help establish efficient workflows and robust administrative systems that support safe and sustainable operations. About the new Midland Private Hospital A brand-new purpose-built state-of-the-art facility, currently under construction, located just 300 metres from the St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals Campus. A comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, with interventional cardiology being offered for the first time in the region The hospital will feature: 96 overnight inpatient beds, including a six-bed critical care/high dependency unit. 33-bed/chair short stay and day procedure unit Eight operating theatres. A cardiac/vascular catheter laboratory The Role Perform daily procedure usage case review and approval in TechOne, prioritising cases where prosthesis are used and resolving all discrepancies. Provide site-based support to theatre caregivers for recording prosthesis and consumables in TechOne. Process requests from Theatre caregivers for new items and coordinates item requests, ensuring the required clinical, procurement and capital approvals are completed (as required). Maintain records of artefacts associated with prosthesis inventory including PAR level agreements, consignment supplier stock counts, loan inventory arrivals/returns. Provide ongoing feedback to theatre caregivers on TechOne usage, recording accuracy and process compliance. Coordinate quarterly consignment stock counts with suppliers and ensure relevant documentation is recorded in Oracle. Ensure consignment PAR level agreements are recorded and maintained in Oracle. Manage loan prosthesis discrepancy processes and communicate resolution back to stakeholders. Escalate breaches of process to Prosthesis Governance Manager and Perioperative leadership as required. Raise requisitions in Oracle as required. Support system QA activities (procedure accuracy, usage recording, approvals) in TechOne and leads local issue identification and triage. Act as a local TechOne system admin for prothesis processes, leasing with Group Prosthesis Governance Manager and System Admin support. Liaise with supplier reps for item queries, expired and wasted stock, new requests, and updates to consignment /PAR level agreements. The successful applicant will bring demonstrated experience within the private healthcare industry, with sound knowledge of medical products, consumables, and clinical terminology. You will have a strong understanding of prosthesis inventory management, including consignment and loan stock processes, along with knowledge of health fund contracts and ex‑gratia processes. High attention to detail and strong analytical capability are essential, particularly in identifying usage, billing, and financial reconciliation discrepancies. Basic accounting knowledge, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn hospital systems, is required. You will be highly organised and capable of managing multiple competing priorities within required timeframes while working with minimal supervision. The role requires well‑developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including effective liaison with suppliers and theatre caregivers. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential to work harmoniously within a multi‑disciplinary healthcare team and to provide clear training, guidance, and support to caregivers.
