Description As an Underground Shift Supervisor, you will lead and supervise day-to-day underground activities, ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and environmental performance. You will be responsible for coordinating personnel, equipment, and work activities while fostering a positive safety culture and maintaining strong communication across the project team Responsibilities Lead and supervise underground crews to achieve production and development targets safely and efficiently. Plan and coordinate daily shift activities in consultation with Project Management, Superintendents, Safety Advisors, and Maintenance teams. Allocate personnel, equipment, and work areas to maximise productivity. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with mine plans, SWIs, site procedures, and statutory requirements. Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, shift handovers, and safety meetings. Complete accurate shift reports, inspections, and timesheets. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through workplace inspections, Take 5s, JSAs, and risk assessments. Investigate incidents, hazards, and near misses, implementing corrective actions where required. Support and mentor team members, providing leadership, coaching, and performance feedback. Ensure compliance with Redpath and client management systems, policies, and procedures. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within the workforce. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and environmental performance across all work areas. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess: Previous experience in a Shift Supervisor or senior underground mining leadership position. Extensive underground mining experience. Strong understanding of underground mining operations, safety systems, and statutory requirements. Proven leadership and people management skills. Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and daily production activities. Strong communication and reporting skills. Ability to effectively manage safety, quality, and operational performance. Experience conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations. A commitment to fostering a positive and high-performing team culture. Current Australian Driver's Licence. Relevant underground mining qualifications and certifications.
