We take pride in our superior service level and celebrate our employees – the heart of our company’s success Responsibilities Role Overview An experienced Underground Shift Boss is required to supervise and coordinate mining activities at Bullen Mine. This role is responsible for leading crews on shift, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with production targets and site requirements. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate underground mining crews during shift operations Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with site procedures and statutory regulations Monitor production activities to meet daily and weekly targets Allocate tasks and manage workforce performance across crews Conduct pre-start meetings and ensure effective shift handovers Identify and manage hazards, risks, and safety incidents Ensure compliance with mine plans, schedules, and ground support standards Complete shift reports, documentation, and production records Liaise with senior leadership, technical teams, and other departments Mentor and develop operators and leading hands Qualifications Requirements Extensive underground mining experience Previous experience as a Shift Boss or in a supervisory underground role Strong leadership and decision-making capability Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance Sound understanding of underground development and production methods Ability to read and interpret mine plans and schedules Statutory Shift Boss qualification (WA) or ability to obtain Valid driver’s licence Ability to work rotating rosters (e.g. 2/2 or site-specific roster) Why Join Redpath Redpath offers a stable, long-term opportunity where your contribution is valued and your development is supported.
