About the role Brooks Equipment is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty (HD) Mechanic to join our team based in Welshpool, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and machinery used in the trades and services industry. What you'll be doing Diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of heavy-duty vehicles, machinery and equipment Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety Dismantle, inspect and replace worn or defective parts, components and systems Conduct thorough testing and adjustments to guarantee the quality of repairs Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken and parts used Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and processes What we're looking for Formal trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical or Diesel Fitting Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to efficiently identify and resolve issues Driver License, HR (preferred) Komatsu and Cat experience (essential) Forklift / High risk work licenses (desirable) Excellent mechanical aptitude and practical hands-on skills Sound knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems, components and maintenance procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines Strong communication and customer service skills Commitment to workplace health and safety What we offer At Brooks Equipment, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
