Operating out of Para Hills West with over 6 years of industry experience, we pride ourselves on being a true one-stop-shop, supplying high-quality 20ft and 40ft units and utilising our own fleet of specialised sideloader trucks to deliver them safely across South Australia. We are a reliable, down-to-earth team built on transparency, safety, and excellent local service. We are looking for a Sideloader Truck Driver to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport, loading, and unloading of shipping containers using a sideloader trailer. The role requires a strong focus on safety, customer service, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with Australian transport regulations. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Para Hills West, SA. Main tasks : -Operate a heavy vehicle and sideloader trailer safely and professionally -Transport shipping containers to and from customer sites, depots, ports, and storage yards -Load and unload containers using sideloader lifting equipment -Conduct pre-start vehicle and equipment inspections -Secure containers and ensure all loads comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and load restraint requirements -Complete delivery paperwork, logbooks, and transport documentation accurately -Communicate with customers, dispatch, and yard staff regarding deliveries and schedules -Assess delivery sites for safe access and placement of containers -Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and traffic laws -Monitor and report vehicle faults, maintenance issues, or safety concerns -Maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicle and equipment -Work efficiently to meet delivery timeframes and operational requirements Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience : -Minimum of a relevant Certificate II qualification plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years. -2 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification. Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge : -Current HC or MC Truck Licence -Experience operating sideloader equipment preferred -Good understanding of container transport operations -Knowledge of Australian road transport regulations and Chain of Responsibility requirements -Ability to work independently and manage time effectively -Strong communication and customer service skills -Forklift licence -White Card (desirable) -Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions -Ability to perform manual handling tasks when required -Comfortable climbing in and out of heavy vehicles regularly Annual salary will be between $79,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
