We are seeking a talented Early Childhood Educator to join a passionate and dedicated team. Located in a single-room kindergarten facility on the main street of Ouyen, this role offers the opportunity to work within a close-knit community where educators are highly valued and supported. The kindergarten operates four days per week, Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 4:00pm, with 3-Year-Old Kindergarten delivered on Mondays and Tuesdays, and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Pre-Prep children also have the opportunity to attend an additional day. The service currently has two Early Childhood Teachers working across the program. Ouyen is a vibrant country town of approximately 1,200 people and serves a strong agricultural district centred around grain and sheep farming. The town offers a range of amenities including a hotel, sporting club, IGA supermarket, hardware store, chemist, and a popular bakery and café. Families are supported by a local P-12 public school, while childcare services operate five days per week. For families living outside of town, children aged four years and older can access school bus transport to and from the kindergarten. Ouyen is located approximately one hour from Mildura and four hours from Melbourne, providing an excellent opportunity for those seeking a rewarding career combined with a relaxed rural lifestyle. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a pivotal role in implementing engaging learning experiences, building strong partnerships with families, and promoting children’s growth and development. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Assess and document children’s learning and development Create a stimulating and safe learning environment Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture A Diploma in Early Childhood Education is essential for this role. While prior experience is preferred, we also encourage recent graduates to apply.
