Description About the role: As an Early Years Co-Educator, you will play an important role in creating a warm, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children. Working alongside teachers and lead educators, you will contribute to play-based learning experiences, support small group activities, and promote children’s wellbeing and development. We are seeking casual educators who bring a proactive, hands-on approach to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating early learning environment. Key responsibilities include: Supporting teachers and educators to deliver engaging and meaningful learning experiences Maintaining a safe, caring environment that promotes children’s wellbeing and development Facilitating small group experiences aligned with individual and group learning plans Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes and hygiene practices, with care and respect Contributing to the documentation of children’s learning through observations and reflections Creating and maintaining organised, inviting learning environments both indoors and outdoors Encouraging positive relationships, collaboration, and social development among children, families, and colleagues Upholding child protection practices and ensuring compliance with safeguarding requirements Providing first aid when required and supporting overall student wellbeing Skills And Experiences About you: To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: A Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), or be working towards this qualification Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards Experience engaging positively with young children and their families The ability to support children’s social and emotional development Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing Seymour College maintains an active casual register, which is regularly reviewed as opportunities arise.
