It is a wellestablished institution with a strong focus on safety, reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement, supporting frontline clinical and operational functions through highperforming engineering and facilities services. Your new role You will provide senior operational leadership across engineering and maintenance services for a large, safetycritical healthcare environment. Reporting into senior engineering leadership, you will oversee daytoday service delivery, contractor performance, preventative maintenance programs, and compliance activities across critical infrastructure and building services.You will lead multidisciplinary technical teams and external service providers, ensuring plant, equipment, and systems are maintained to required standards while supporting uninterrupted service delivery. The role plays a key part in operational planning, performance reporting, risk management, and quality assurance, with a strong focus on governance, safety, and operational excellence.This is a handsoff leadership role with accountability for people, performance, and outcomes rather than toolsdown technical work. What you'll need to succeed Proven leadership experience within engineering, facilities, or assetintensive environments Strong understanding of building services including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, and critical systems Experience managing preventative and reactive maintenance programs in complex operational settings Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, compliance requirements, and service delivery outcomes Strong safety, risk, and governance mindset within regulated or safetycritical environments Welldeveloped communication and stakeholder management skills Relevant engineering, trade, or technical qualifications (or equivalent experience) Availability to participate in an afterhours oncall roster when required What you'll get in return Genuine authority and influence over essential engineering operations Exposure to complex infrastructure and critical services The opportunity to lead established teams within a highimpact environment A role focused on leadership, governance, and improvement, not routine maintenance.
