Job Description ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project. The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year. The project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie. Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Site Engineer – Electrical to share their expertise within our growing Substation teams. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Project Engineer - Electrical, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Maintaining quality and environmental standards to keep the project delivering as planned. Recording non-conformances and driving corrective actions quickly. Preparing Inspection Test Reports and checklists that meet contract requirements. Planning materials, resources and construction methods, solving problems to protect cost, quality and schedule. Monitoring progress and coordinating activities to keep the schedule on track. Ensuring contract requirements are met at crew level. Coordinating resources, tracking subcontractor performance and leading daily cost planning, building strong teamwork along the way. Required Skills and Competencies We're looking for an engineer who's organised, communicates clearly, and knows how to keep a work crew on track. Previous experience working on substation projects is a strong plus. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent tertiary qualification 2–5 years' post-graduate experience in construction or engineering Working knowledge of HS&E and regulatory requirements Site Engineer positions are bus in, bus out, camp style accommodation provided for 14 days onsite and 7 days off site, on a roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.
