A leading national civil construction group delivering major infrastructure projects across Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join its Victorian infrastructure team. With a strong workbook across transport, land development, renewables, water, utilities and defence‑related works, the business continues to expand its capability. This role will initially involve regular regional travel for the first 3–6 months to support a major defence infrastructure project , before transitioning back to Melbourne‑based projects. The Role As a Senior CA, you’ll play a critical role in the commercial performance of complex civil projects. You’ll partner closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams to ensure contracts, procurement, cost control and commercial processes are executed to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Manage head contract and subcontract administration across multiple civil packages Prepare, review and negotiate subcontract agreements Oversee procurement, cost forecasting and monthly reporting Assess progress claims, variations and EOTs Procurement of Plant, Labour, Materials, Subcontractors, Consultants and Suppliers Activities with a focus on cash flow, maximising profit, accurate cost reporting, cost forecasting, reporting, administration and ensuring compliance with policies, systems and processes Maintain accurate commercial documentation and project records Support project teams with contractual advice and risk management Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders About You Proven experience as a Senior Contract Administrator on major infrastructure projects Strong understanding of contracts, procurement and commercial controls Demonstrable knowledge in AS2124 and AS4000 Experience with Tier 1-2 contractors Highly organised, detail‑driven and commercially astute Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate Willingness to undertake regional travel (DIDO) for the initial project phase In return, you’ll join a respected civil contractor offering career progression, security and a competitive salary package .
