We are seeking to appoint an experienced finance executive to lead the organisation’s finance and accounting operations and be a part of a technically sophisticated, globally connected business that is addressing real-world challenges in mining sustainability, supported by a long-term, sector-focused investor. About the Organisation: Phibion works with mining operations globally to address one of the industry’s most critical environmental and operational challenges. Phibion delivers tailings dewatering and consolidation solutions that improve safety, reduce environmental risk, and lower long-term operating and closure costs for mine sites. Operations are based in Australia, South America, North America, Central America, Asia and Africa. About The Role: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working in close partnership with the Board, the Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function across a multi-jurisdictional operating and holding structure. The role is central to shaping the organisation’s financial strategy, capital management framework and transaction readiness as the business continues to scale. The CFO will be responsible for the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cashflow and treasury management, tax structuring and compliance across domestic and international entities. A key focus of the role is the development and maintenance of robust financial models, performance analytics and reporting frameworks that support strategic decision-making and value creation. The role will have significant exposure to transaction-related activity, including preparation for and participation in due diligence processes, engagement with private equity and venture capital stakeholders, and support for potential M&A, capital raising or exit scenarios. This includes working closely with external advisors, presenting to investment committees and ensuring the business is positioned to withstand detailed financial, commercial and governance scrutiny. About You: You will be an experienced finance professional who is comfortable operating at the intersection of growth, governance and investor scrutiny within a confidential, high trust environment. Key attributes include: Proven experience leading a finance function in a scaling or growth stage organisation Strong capability in Board reporting and executive level financial communication Experience supporting capital raisings, transactions or due diligence processes Deep knowledge of international businesses including foreign currencies, income tax and withholding tax Exposure to multi-entity and international operating environments Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into clear insights A hands-on, credible leadership style with high levels of discretion and professionalism A highly attractive short-term incentive is on offer to achieve realistic performance milestones as our client positions for the next phase of growth and investment.
