The Company Botanical Resources Australia is a specialist agricultural business with a global footprint and a strong base in Northwest Tasmania. Best known for producing natural insecticide ingredients from Australian-grown pyrethrum, BRA operates across farming, research, manufacturing and agricultural services. Its seed function also supports specialist processing for internal and external customers across a diverse range of high-value crops. The Opportunity Reporting to the General Manager - Agriculture Services, you will take ownership of BRA’s specialist seed operation and lead a small permanent and casual team. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading, training and organising the seed operations team Coordinating cleaning, treating, sorting, packing and dispatch Maintaining quality, traceability, inventory and accurate records Managing customer orders, schedules, logistics and communication Overseeing plant, equipment and maintenance requirements Working with agronomy, field production and R&D on pyrethrum seed crops Improving processes and supporting the growth of seed services BRA has strengthened its systems and processes considerably, creating a solid base for the successful person to build on. The opportunity now is to bring the function together, develop the team and improve how the operation supports customers and the wider business. About You You are an organised and capable people leader with strong judgement, attention to detail and clear communication skills. BRA is open to candidates from agricultural, horticultural, production, quality or manufacturing backgrounds. Direct seed-processing experience would be valuable, with training provided across the specialist seed operation and pyrethrum production requirements. To succeed, you will bring: Experience leading and developing an operational team Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills Experience in production, processing or another process-driven environment An understanding of quality systems, traceability and accurate record keeping Confidence managing customers, priorities and operational issues A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work across office, shed and field environments A forklift high-risk work licence and ChemCert accreditation would be advantageous but are not essential.
