About the Role Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, you will provide specialist advice and support to the Executive Leadership Team, Board and key governance committees. Key responsibilities include: Leading the organisation’s Risk, Quality and Safety framework. Ensuring compliance with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. Monitoring incidents, complaints and consumer feedback through the incident management system, ensuring appropriate risk assessment, investigation and reporting. Developing, reviewing and implementing policies, procedures and quality improvement initiatives that meet legislative and accreditation requirements. Partnering with clinical leaders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies, monitor outcomes and drive continuous improvement. Analysing clinical and operational data, coordinating audits and preparing reports for executive leadership and governance committees. Coordinating workplace safety inspections, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Leading initiatives that strengthen patient safety, clinical governance, claims management and regulatory compliance. Supporting the organisation’s Return-to-Work program. You enjoy working collaboratively, influencing positive change and supporting teams to achieve outstanding quality outcomes. Essential Criteria Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated experience in Risk, Quality, Clinical Governance or Healthcare Accreditation. Strong knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, clinical governance and accreditation standards. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills. Current National Police Check. Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain). Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Highly Desirable Qualifications in Training, Education or Mentoring. Relevant qualifications or certifications in Quality, Risk or Patient Safety. Experience with quality management systems and certification standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
