Impact you will have in this role Reporting to the Head of Community Fundraising and Partnerships, the Community Fundraising Manager will lead and grow a diverse portfolio of community fundraising initiatives, with a strong focus on digital engagement and supporter acquisition. This opportunity will see you drive participation across schools, supporter-led fundraising, and major third-party campaigns including the iconic Jeans for Genes and Great Cycle Challenge programs. Leveraging both community and digital fundraising strategies, you will enhance supporter journeys across online platforms, social media, peer-to-peer fundraising channels, and email communications to maximise engagement, retention, and revenue outcomes. Working closely with supporters, Ambassador families, community groups, digital partners, and internal stakeholders, you will deliver meaningful and innovative fundraising experiences that inspire participation, deepen supporter relationships, and increase fundraising impact to support vital medical research for children. This role is ideal for a collaborative, relationship-driven fundraiser who thrives on building connections, developing innovative multi-channel campaigns, and using digital engagement strategies to drive high-impact community fundraising initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver community fundraising strategies, campaigns, and engagement plans to drive revenue growth, digital participation, and supporter acquisition. Manage and grow supporter-led fundraising initiatives across the Jeans for Genes and CMRI brands, with a focus on enhancing online fundraising experiences and peer-to-peer engagement. Identify and leverage opportunities through third-party fundraising events, digital activations, and community partnerships. Manage the strategic partnership with the Great Cycle Challenge agency to deliver successful campaigns, digital engagement initiatives, and supporter retention strategies. Develop compelling campaign stories and digital content, oversee reporting and evaluations, and identify opportunities for future growth and audience engagement. Monitor and analyse digital campaign performance, online fundraising activity, and supporter engagement metrics to inform optimisation and future strategy. Deliver presentations, events, and personalised stewardship activities to inspire participation and strengthen supporter engagement. Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to deliver engaging multi-channel supporter communications, email campaigns, and fundraising journeys. Develop fundraising collateral and support website content updates, online fundraising platform management, and digital campaign assets. Assist organisers with peer-to-peer fundraising pages, social media engagement, and digital campaign support to maximise fundraising success. Identify opportunities to improve supporter experience through digital innovation, automation, and emerging fundraising technologies. Maintain awareness of sector and digital fundraising trends and uphold professional standards that positively represent CMRI and its values. Skills and Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline highly regarded. Proven experience in community fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising, supporter engagement, events, or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing fundraising campaigns, supporter programs, or community engagement initiatives. Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence schools, supporters, volunteers, and community stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking capability. Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience working with CRM systems and fundraising platforms such as Salesforce, Grassrootz or Funraisin highly regarded. Collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and external partners. A desire to lead, coach or mentor team members and campaign support staff.
