Dava Thai Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Full-Time Head Chef to join our team at our busy restaurant in Mornington. Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 Location: Mornington, VIC 3931 Key Responsibilities Operations: Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes, standards, and service requirements. Quality Control: Ensure all meals are prepared on time, in correct quantities, and meet high standards of presentation, taste, and consistency. Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, ordering, storage, and waste control of all kitchen supplies. Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Training & Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards. Delegation: Allocate tasks effectively based on service requirements and menu planning. Compliance: Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Skills and Experience Required Qualifications: AQF Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent or at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef Cuisine Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Thai cuisine. Leadership: Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate kitchen teams effectively. Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Personal Attributes: Punctual, organised, reliable, and professional in appearance and conduct. Problem Solving: Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and resolve kitchen challenges efficiently. Attention to Detail: High standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
