The Company Our client is a well-established owner operator gold mining business with a strong track record of operational performance, safety and continuous improvement. Operating a large-scale processing plant in Queensland, the business continues to invest in its people, plant and systems to support long term performance and improvement initiatives. The Opportunity This is a key operational leadership position responsible for the day-to-day performance of the processing plant. Reporting to the Processing Manager, you will provide leadership across plant operations, safety and production delivery while working closely with metallurgy and maintenance to ensure consistent throughput, recovery and reliability. The role provides the opportunity to influence both daily operational outcomes and contribute to ongoing plant improvement initiatives within a high demand operating environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage processing operations to achieve production targets and maintain strong safety performance Provide leadership and direction to Supervisors and crews across multiple operating teams Ensure effective handover and continuity with back-to-back Superintendent Coordinate closely with maintenance to prioritise and execute work aligned to production requirements Support plant optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain strong field presence, driving accountability and team performance Contribute to short term planning alignment with mining and plant operations About You Proven leadership experience within processing operations (gold or base metals) Strong operational mindset with the ability to lead from the front Sound understanding of plant operations across crushing, grinding, leaching and recovery circuits Ability to lead teams, drive performance and maintain safety standards in a demanding environment Metallurgy or engineering qualifications advantageous but not essential Why This Role?
