Due to growth, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in Sydney to manage a loyal customer base and assist with growth across product ranges. Although based in Sydney, occasional travel interstate will be required. The role: Build client relationships by managing existing accounts and proactively identifying new sales opportunities across product range to generate growth and client retention. Travel regularly to meet with customers, dealers, distributors, and business partners Provide technical guidance, training and tailored product recommendations to meet customer, dealers, service agents needs. Prepare quotes and process orders while ensuring timely follow‑up and customer satisfaction. Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth. Conduct client visits and product demos to showcase solutions and strengthen relationships. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities. Organise and participate in customer meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment. Maintain accurate sales records and reporting. What we're looking for: Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within hardware, industrial supply, or engineering sectors. Drivers licence and reliable vehicle The role is based in Sydney but will require occasional travel inter-state to meet with clients as required Solid mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of mechanical components and how they function. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust, rapport, and long‑term client relationships. Commercially sharp mindset with a proactive approach to spotting opportunities and confidently closing deals. Technical curiosity and the willingness to learn product specifications and translate them into practical customer solutions. Self‑driven work style with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own pipeline and priorities. Competence with CRM tools and Microsoft Office for tracking activity, managing data, and generating reports. High personal motivation with a strong desire to achieve both professional and personal success.
