Our client is a large, values-driven organisation seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Working as part of a high-performing finance team, you'll play an important role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting month-end reporting, maintaining compliance and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. The Opportunity Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reporting while supporting budgeting, compliance and financial governance across a complex organisation. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial information is reliable, timely and supports operational and strategic decision making. Key responsibilities include: Preparing monthly financial reports, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews. Supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting processes. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. Maintaining general ledger integrity and ensuring accurate financial records. Supporting statutory reporting, audit requirements and compliance activities. Monitoring financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve processes. Assisting with financial system improvements and reporting enhancements. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to provide timely financial support. About You You're a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and delivering high-quality financial outcomes. To be successful, you'll bring: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance. CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion). Experience in financial accounting within a medium to large organisation. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations and general ledger management. Experience supporting month-end, budgeting and audit processes. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems, ideally TechnologyOne or similar. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. Experience within government-funded, healthcare, aged care or other complex service environments will be highly regarded. The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Driver's Licence and satisfy the relevant probity and compliance requirements, including proof of COVID-19 vaccination where required.
