About the role: We're looking for a dedicated Senior Clinician to join the headspace Early Psychosis team in Darwin. In this rewarding role, you'll provide effective engagement, comprehensive clinical assessment, assertive case management and treatment to young people presenting with, or at risk of, developing psychosis, and their families, in line with the Australian Early Psychosis Program (AEPP) model of care. You'll carry a caseload, delivering evidence-based interventions including CBT for psychosis, assertive outreach, and complex risk assessment and safety planning, all underpinned by a flexible, strengths-based and recovery-oriented approach. Working within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you'll also provide leadership, clinical guidance and supervision to team members, supporting the Clinical Lead and Program Manager to deliver a high-quality, youth-focused service. About you: Approved tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health discipline with current AHPRA registration, or membership of and adherence to AASW standards for social workers (postgraduate qualifications in adolescent mental health preferred). Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and clinical skills in engagement, assessment and holistic treatment of young people and families presenting with emotional, social or developmental difficulties, including psychosis and AOD issues. Demonstrated practice skills in delivering CBT for psychosis and supervising staff to deliver therapeutic interventions. A genuine passion and commitment to improving the social and emotional wellbeing of young Aboriginal people and their families. Demonstrated ability to work within structures of clinical supervision and accountability, in line with National Standards and relevant NT legislation. Strong skills in assertive engagement, crisis intervention and management of young people with complex needs during the acute phase of mental illness, including application of the NT Mental Health and Related Services Act. Ability to work independently with a "can do", positive and optimistic outlook as part of a multidisciplinary team.
