We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Manager! Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for leading all payroll and human resources functions to ensure compliant, efficient, and employee-focused operations. This is a pivotal position where you will serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees while ensuring accurate payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and the development of effective HR policies and practices that support organisational objectives. About the Role As a Payroll & HR Manager, you will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for up to 130 staff at peak times and lead the full spectrum of HR functions. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with employment legislation, supporting employee relations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Management Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures. Oversee recruitment, on boarding, and off boarding processes. Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution. Lead performance management processes and support talent development. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. Coordinate training and development initiatives. Collaborate with the WHS team to manage workers’ compensation claims. Payroll Administration Manage end-to-end payroll processing (fortnightly) with accuracy and timeliness using Tanda and Account Right. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and reporting requirements. Administer employee benefits, leave tracking, and compensation adjustments. Respond to payroll queries. Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with employment laws and labour regulations. Prepare and submit statutory reports and regulatory filings. Monitor legislative changes and update policies accordingly Strategic & Operational Support Contribute to HR strategy aligned with organisational goals Provide HR metrics and workforce reporting to senior management Support organisational change initiatives About You You are a confident and knowledgeable HR professional with strong payroll expertise and a high level of integrity. You thrive in a hands-on role and can balance operational detail with strategic thinking.
