Finer Hydraulics Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Fitter (General) (ANZSCO - )to Join our team. Salary Range - $75,000 - $85,000 Business Location - Derrimut VIC 3026 key Duties and Responsibilities Study engineering drawings, specifications and work orders to determine job requirements. Dismantle, inspect and assess hydraulic cylinders, pumps, mechanical assemblies and associated equipment. Diagnose mechanical faults, wear patterns and component failures and determine appropriate repair methods. Fit, assemble, install and align mechanical and hydraulic components to required tolerances. Manufacture, machine, modify and repair components including shafts, pins, bushes, rods, glands and other mechanical parts. Operate workshop machinery including centre lathes, milling machines, radial drills, hydraulic presses and welding equipment. Measure and record dimensions, tolerances, clearances and technical specifications using precision measuring instruments. Replace and fit seals, bearings, wear rings and other mechanical components during refurbishment and assembly processes. Conduct hydraulic pressure testing and functional testing to verify equipment performance and serviceability. Perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and overhaul of hydraulic and mechanical equipment. Ensure all completed work complies with engineering standards, manufacturer specifications and quality assurance procedures. Maintain accurate inspection reports, maintenance records and workshop documentation. Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and safe work practices. Assist in the installation, commissioning and testing of new or refurbished equipment. Skills and Qualifications Relevant trade qualification such as Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and organisational skills Commitment to workplace safety Please include a current resume and supporting documents to your application.Three current referees would be required.
