Role details The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project is seeking applications for a Principal Project Officer (ICT) to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project is seeking a new team member that is passionate about delivering on the vision for Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS) to provide quality healthcare to the Mackay region. The new facility will increase the capacity of the Mackay Base Hospital by 128 beds, relocating Maternity, Birth Suites, Neonatal and Paediatric wards and adding new medical wards to service the growing demand. You will join a high-performing team that is looking to partner with Queensland Health and contractors to build this new facility and undertake the operational commissioning of the Mackay Hospital Expansion Project and associated hospital projects. About the Team Mackay Hospital Expansion Project (MHEP) will deliver the expansion of Mackay Base Hospital, with an additional 128 beds for the community. The expansion project aims to improve the patient experience and provide quality healthcare outcomes for the Mackay region. The MHEP was committed as a key deliverable of the Queensland Government Health and Hospitals Plan Capacity Expansion Program announced in 2022-23. The Mackay Hospital and Health Service is supporting the project delivery in partnership with Health Infrastructure Queensland, a division of Queensland Health.
