Your new role at Steadfast We are looking for a Tax Accountant / Senior Tax Accountant who enjoys solving problems, creating clarity and building strong relationships, and who brings curiosity, care and a collaborative mindset to their work. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, our subsidiaries and business unit stakeholders to support tax compliance, provide practical guidance and help strengthen processes across the Group. You will bring your technical tax expertise and, just as importantly, your ability to listen, collaborate and create an environment where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and raising challenges early. What your days may look like You may start your morning connecting with Finance or business stakeholders, reviewing compliance priorities and getting across any emerging tax or regulatory matters. You might be working through lodgements or reviewing calculations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with governance frameworks. By midday, you could be deep in analysis or stakeholder discussions, turning complex tax concepts into clear, practical advice that supports decision-making and day-to-day operations. In the afternoon, you might be partnering with Legal, Risk or Transaction teams to support an acquisition, respond to a revenue authority query, or identify ways to improve processes and strengthen our governance and tax controls. No two days look the same, but every day you will be contributing to work that supports compliance, builds trust across the business and creates better, more efficient ways of working. The work you will lead and shape You’ll have the opportunity to: Create: Build and refine tax processes, controls and documentation that strengthen compliance and consistency across the Group Collaborate: Partner across Finance, Legal, our subsidiaries and business units to deliver aligned, practical tax outcomes Challenge: Ask thoughtful questions, interpret legislation and test approaches to ensure compliant and commercially sound decisions Deliver: Take ownership of tax compliance obligations and support transaction activity through completion and on to practical integration Support: Provide clear, actionable tax guidance that builds confidence and capability across stakeholders You may also: Develop tax frameworks, governance processes and internal documentation Maintain tax records, compliance registers and supporting workpapers Support the growth and expansion of our international businesses, and help structure and integrate our global investments Build trusted relationships and practical tax insights across the business Lead process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and controls Prepare tax calculations, returns, reports and responses to regulatory bodies What You will Bring Experience in tax (ideally corporate income tax, GST and FBT) within a corporate, professional services or accounting environment, with a genuine curiosity to keep learning and grow your tax expertise Strength in analysis, stakeholder engagement, problem solving and clear communication Ability to translate complex tax legislation into practical, easy-to-understand advice A collaborative mindset with the ability to build trusted, cross-functional relationships Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Tax (e.g. CA/CPA or equivalent) If you are not sure you meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply we value potential and diverse experiences.
