About the Role This is more than a traditional Store Manager position. We're looking for leaders who want to treat the store as if it were their own business. Someone who takes pride in every aspect of the operation, from customer experience and team culture through to stock management, sales performance and profitability. Working closely with the leadership and support office team, you'll be empowered to make decisions, lead your team and drive results while maintaining the community-focused values that independent supermarkets are known for. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy supermarket Drive sales, profitability and store performance Manage inventory, ordering and stock control Ensure promotional activity and merchandising standards are executed to a high level Lead, coach and develop a diverse team Manage rosters, wages and labour budgets Maintain food safety, WHS and compliance standards Deliver exceptional customer service and community engagement Build a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture Analyse store performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement About You Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or Department Manager within an independent supermarket environment is highly regarded Strong knowledge of supermarket operations, inventory management and merchandising Experience with Metcash systems highly regarded Commercially minded with the ability to influence sales, wages and profitability Hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Passion for community retailing and customer service excellence What's In It For You?
