Work with diverse commercial light vehicle fleet Join a supportive and professional team environment Opportunity for career growth and skill development Commercial Light Vehicle Mechanic Dandenong South | Full-Time | Competitive Salary Overtime We are seeking an experienced Commercial Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop team, servicing and maintaining a fleet of commercial light vehicles and utes , with a strong focus on Mazda, Isuzu and Great Wall vehicles . This is a hands-on role suited to a mechanic who enjoys diagnostics, preventative maintenance and repair work across both diesel and petrol vehicles , and who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship while keeping fleet downtime to a minimum. About the Role Reporting to the Workshop Manager / Service Manager , you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a range of commercial light vehicles and utes. You will play an important role in ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high mechanical and safety standard, remain roadworthy and are available for day-to-day operational use. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on Mazda, Isuzu and Great Wall commercial vehicles and utes Diagnose and repair faults across diesel and petrol engines Perform repairs to engines, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, driveline and related components Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing in line with manufacturer and company requirements Conduct inspections and identify wear, damage or safety issues requiring repair Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant and fit for operational use Maintain accurate job cards, service reports and maintenance records Liaise with the Workshop Manager regarding vehicle condition, urgent repairs and parts requirements Support workshop efficiency by maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will bring: Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Mechanic Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing commercial light vehicles, utes or fleet vehicles Experience working on Mazda, Isuzu and/or Great Wall vehicles, or similar commercial vehicle brands Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability Experience working on both diesel and petrol engines Ability to use workshop diagnostic tools and scan equipment Current Driver’s Licence Strong understanding of workshop safety procedures and maintenance documentation Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Highly Regarded Experience in a fleet, dealership or commercial workshop environment Exposure to servicing trade vehicles, utility vehicles and light commercial fleets Roadworthy or vehicle inspection experience Forklift licence or other relevant mechanical tickets Air conditioning servicing licence or additional automotive certifications Why Join Us?
