As an Apprentice Audio-Visual Installer, you’ll support the team in delivering high-quality AV installations while learning the trade on the job. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a range of equipment across different environments. Assist with the installation and setup of audio-visual equipment including displays, screens, speakers, and video conferencing systems. Support senior team with cabling, device configuration, and system testing. Help troubleshoot basic technical issues on-site and escalate where required. Work closely with team members to deliver projects on time and to a high standard. Maintain accurate notes on installations and assist with documentation. Follow safety procedures and industry standards at all times while on-site. What you’ll bring? A genuine interest in audio-visual technology and a willingness to learn. Some exposure to cabling, data installation, or hands-on technical work (desirable, not essential). Strong attention to detail and a practical, can-do attitude. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Physically fit and comfortable working on-site and using tools. A current Australian Driver’s Licence or willingness to obtain one. Willingness to work towards an Open Cabling Licence. What else do you need to apply? Travel on-site to our office in Notting Hill and client sites around Melbourne. Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
