Your Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Compliance Associate to join a highly regarded independent school in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. This newly elevated role sits within a progressive People & Culture team and has been created to strengthen compliance capability across a large and complex workforce. Reporting to the Policy, Risk & Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in shaping a more mature, data-driven compliance function. Your Role This is a varied and hands-on position that will see you contribute across compliance, risk, governance and safety initiatives. You will take ownership of key processes, support audit readiness, and deliver meaningful reporting that informs leadership decision-making. With exposure to senior stakeholders and governance activities, this role offers excellent long-term career development within a dynamic and evolving environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance compliance systems, registers and tracking tools Support audit processes through preparation of documentation and evidence Assist with governance reporting and insights for senior leaders Analyse compliance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities Coordinate and manage compliance training programs and completion tracking Develop and maintain training content within internal systems Support policy development, implementation and ongoing review cycles Partner with stakeholders to uplift compliance awareness across the organisation Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across compliance, risk and safety Your Profile You are a structured, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across systems, data and stakeholder engagement. Experience in compliance, risk, governance, HR or a related discipline Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting and reporting on data Experience preparing policies, procedures or governance documentation High attention to detail with strong organisational skills Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels Able to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment Proactive, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement Experience in a regulated environment or education setting will be highly regarded.
