Location: Bella Vista, Sydney Shift: Fixed Day Shift â 6:00am to 2:30pm (Monday to Friday) Â Letâs Talk About the Role: The Production Team Leader plays a critical role within the Production & Assembly function, responsible for leading large manufacturing teams to safely manufacture, assemble, test, and pack products in line with business demand. This role focuses strongly on people leadership , safety , quality , and performance , while operating in a fastâpaced, GMPâregulated manufacturing environment. You will provide handsâon leadership across multiple production lines, ensuring production schedules and KPIs are consistently achieved, while maintaining full compliance with Quality, OH&S, GMP, and regulatory requirements. Letâs Talk About Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage dayâtoâday production operations to ensure output, quality, safety, and delivery targets are met. Drive a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring compliance with GMP, OH&S, Quality Management Systems, and regulatory standards at all times. Manage and develop a large operational workforce. Set clear expectations, allocate work, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure team performance and engagement. Ensure production schedules and KPIs are achieved to meet customer and business requirements. Support production planning, changeovers, equipment setâup, and monitoring of manufacturing processes. Oversee assembly, testing, and inspection activities, including quality control checks on incoming and finished goods. Analyse operational data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to the implementation of strategic and operational objectives through effective leadership of people and resources. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions. Act as a visible leader on the production floor, spending a portion of time handsâon when required to support the team and operations. Letâs Talk About Qualifications & Experience: Required: Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment. Proven experience managing large operational teams and meeting production KPIs. Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems. Demonstrated ability to leverage technology (Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as visual dashboards) to support operational excellence and drive continuous improvement. Preferred: Background in GMPâregulated manufacturing (medical devices highly regarded). Bachelorâs degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries.
