Job Description Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for: Processing end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments Maintaining and updating payroll records in line with Australian legislation Handling payroll queries and providing clear, accurate information to employees and management Reconciling payroll accounts and preparing reports for management review Collaborating with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure seamless integration of payroll data Staying up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring compliance with awards and agreements Assisting with end-of-year payroll activities, including group certificates Contributing to process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency The Successful Applicant Proven experience as a Payroll Officer in a high-volume, end-to-end payroll environment Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements (NZ exposure highly regarded) High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Confident communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with payroll systems such as ADP or SuccessFactors (advantageous, not essential) A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines What's on Offer Inner-city suburb location with convenient access Opportunities for career growth and professional development Stable, permanent role within the retail industry Be part of a company that values excellence and compliance in payroll management Quarterly bonus scheme On-site free parking Hybrid working and flexible hours Birthday, Volunteer, Professional Development and Paid Parental Leave Health & Wellbeing programs
