Accounts Analyst South Melbourne Full-time | Office-based About the Role We're looking for a commercially minded AccountsAnalystto join our team in South Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working at the intersection of finance and data analytics. You'll play a key role in supporting the business through accurate transactional management (AP/AR) while leveraging data to provide meaningful insights that drive commercial decisions. Key Responsibilities Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support business performance monitoring Partner with internal stakeholders to provide actionable commercial insights Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives Ensure data integrity across financial and reporting systems About You Strong experience in transactional finance (AP & AR) within a fast-paced environment Ideally developed within a shared services environment, managing high volumes and tight deadlines Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modelling, formulas) Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualisation Exposure to Power Query and/or Python highly regarded Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment Ideal Background We're particularly interested in candidates who: Come from busy, high-volume industries such as retail, FMCG, or wholesale/distribution Have a strong shared services foundatio n in finance May have studied Business Analytics or a related discipline, or have a genuine passion for Excel, reporting, data visualisation, and tools like Power BI Why Join Us?
