Key Requirements : Minimum 6 years’ experience within a public practice/professional accounting firm. Strong technical knowledge in taxation, accounting, and business advisory. Commercially minded with a proactive approach. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong time management and ability to prioritise competing deadlines. Job Responsibility : Client Management and Advisory Manage a diverse portfolio of business, individual, and superannuation fund clients. Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships. Provide proactive accounting, taxation, and business advisory services. Identify opportunities to add value through strategic advice and improved business outcomes. Act as a trusted advisor to clients on financial, operational, and compliance matters. Compliance Activities Lead support to Partner in preparation and delivery of compliance engagements, including but not limited to: Year end compliance Fringe benefits tax BAS, IAS, PAYG instalments Bookkeeping – maintain and reconcile client files Corporate secretarial Prepare (limited) and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS/IAS, and related compliance work. Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with relevant legislation and professional standards. Stay current with changes to taxation laws, accounting standards, and industry developments. Manage workflow, deadlines, and quality control processes across engagements. Lead client meetings to deliver compliance engagements. Consulting Activities Lead support to Partner in specified consulting engagements, including predominantly: Tax planning Tax advice Structuring advice Succession planning Estate planning Business strategy planning and workshops Profit improvements Management consulting Corporate finance (i.e. M&A, valuations etc) Team Leadership and Development Lead, mentor, and develop accountants and junior staff. Review team performance and provide coaching and technical guidance. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff training initiatives as requried. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. Practice Management Manage client budgets, billing, and recoverability targets. Monitor workflow and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of work. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
