The Client Located in Gulargambone in regional NSW, Gulargambone Pharmacy offers a comprehensive suite of pharmacy services tailored to individual needs such as prescription dispensing, health screenings, immunizations, wellness programs, and a selection of cosmetics and skincare products, all delivered by knowledgeable pharmacists. The Role They are seeking a full time Retail Pharmacist to join their team. This is for a full time position at an annual salary between $85,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation. The role is based in Gulargambone in regional NSW. The Responsibilities Dispense prescription medicines accurately and safely in line with PBS, pharmacy law and professional standards Review prescriptions for dosage, interactions, contraindications, allergies and therapeutic suitability Counsel customers on medicine use, side effects, storage, dosage timing and treatment adherence Provide scheduled medicines, OTC advice, minor ailment support and primary health guidance Administer pharmacist-led services such as vaccinations, health checks and medication reviews where authorised Maintain accurate dispensing records, medication profiles, controlled drug registers and patient documentation Supervise pharmacy technicians, dispensary assistants and retail pharmacy support staff Manage stock control, expiry monitoring, cold chain medicines, S8 medicines and supplier ordering Liaise with doctors, hospitals, aged care providers and allied health professionals on medication related issues Ensure compliance with pharmacy legislation, privacy, infection control, WHS and professional practice requirements The requirements Bachelor degree qualifications in Pharmacy Unrestricted AHPRA registration At least 2 years' experience in fulfilling similar responsibility in a commercial pharmacy setting Minimum 2 years' experience dispensing PBS, private, S4 and S8 medicines in a high volume retail pharmacy At least 2 years' experience reviewing prescriptions for interactions, contraindications, duplicate therapy and dosing risks Minimum 2 years' experience managing controlled drugs, staged supply, DAAs, cold chain medicines and high risk medication workflows At least 2 years of experience in providing customer service and pharmaceutical counselling Attention to detail and precision in record keeping Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment The ability to prioritise workload and adapting to change in work requirements Good interpersonal skills
