National Operations Manager Brisbane preferred | Melbourne considered Up to $160k car allowance super Are you an experienced operational leader who knows how to drive performance across large, multi-site service contracts? We’re partnering with a well-established national business in the commercial cleaning and facilities management sector to appoint a National Operations Manager . This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for operational performance, contract profitability, compliance, WHS, and leadership across multiple states. With head office based in Brisbane, the business is open to candidates based in Brisbane or Melbourne , with a preference for someone who can stay closely connected to the executive team. Travel is currently minimal, with occasional interstate visits likely as the role evolves. The opportunity Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll lead national operations across a multi-site service environment, ensuring consistent service delivery, strong commercial outcomes, and high standards of safety and compliance. You’ll work closely with State Managers and senior operational leaders to improve performance, manage risk, and support the ongoing growth and sustainability of the business. Key responsibilities Lead national operations across multiple states to deliver consistent service standards and operational excellence Manage the financial performance of contracts, including budgets, P&L, labour costs, gross profit margins and expenditure control Analyse operational and financial reports to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve profitability Ensure State Managers achieve financial targets and operate within approved budgets Drive workforce efficiency and labour optimisation while maintaining quality outcomes for clients Oversee contract mobilisation, renewals and performance reviews to support commercial success Develop and implement corrective action plans for underperforming contracts Provide leadership across Work Health & Safety, compliance and operational risk management Monitor incidents, investigations, audits and hazard management programs across the business Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, industrial relations and ISO requirements Lead, coach and develop State Managers and senior operational leaders nationally Act as the escalation point for major client issues, disputes and operational risks Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, process improvement and long-term operational scalability About you You’re a commercially minded operations leader with experience managing multi-site service operations at a senior level. You know how to balance people leadership, financial performance, compliance and client outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
