Senior Industrial Designer We are supporting our client, a global design consultancy specialising in industrial design, wayfinding and customer experience for major transport and urban projects, to find a Senior Industrial Designer. You will lead high-profile projects, support the team and work with architects, engineers and contractors to deliver practical, user-focused design solutions. Roles and Responsibilities Lead and deliver multiple complex design projects from strategy and concept through to construction documentation and delivery Undertake project and user research to inform high-level strategic advice and develop design briefs with clients Manage and produce drawings, schedules, specifications and technical documentation across concept, tender and construction stages Develop integrated wayfinding systems, kit-of-parts solutions and product designs in collaboration with graphics and wayfinding teams Integrate wayfinding and component systems into broader architectural design outcomes Prepare and manage project documentation and deliverables in line with client requirements and project programmes Lead client presentations, stakeholder consultations and workshop sessions Act as project manager on nominated projects, overseeing budget, programme, resources, risk, quality and communication Collaborate with internal disciplines and external partners to coordinate and deliver successful project outcomes Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact throughout project delivery Mentor and support mid-weight and junior designers, fostering growth and maintaining awareness of industry trends Support business development by identifying opportunities, contributing to tenders and attending pitches Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities Skills and Experience Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a design-related discipline Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an established design consultancy Proven experience delivering complex industrial design projects, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or transport environments Experience with kit-of-parts methodologies, wayfinding systems and customer-focused design solutions Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, building codes and relevant rail or infrastructure standards Familiarity with architectural principles including lighting design, acoustics and MEP integration Proficiency in SolidWorks , Rhino , Revit, BIM 360 and rendering tools such as 3DS Max, V-Ray or KeyShot Strong conceptual thinking, visual communication and hand sketching skills Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and mentor a design team Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines Passion for user-centred design and improving public and urban environments Consultant Emily Lodola Consultant, Business Support (02) 9212 0230 emily.l@bespokecareers.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/emily-lodola-57b313225/ Reference number: 73348 Profession:Business SupportDesign Lead Company: Bespoke Careers Date posted: 26th Jun, 2026
